Mid Summer Social League

Monday 6th July – Sunday 26th July 2020

Welcome back to Golf by participating in either or both of our Mid-Summer Social Leagues

Balcomie League & Craighead League running over 3 weeks in July

The Leagues are mixed and are open to Gents, Ladies & Juniors with handicaps

Stableford Format (Non-Qualifying for Handicap)

The League Winners will be the players with the best aggregate 2 scores during the 3 weeks of play

The 2 Winners (one for each league) will each receive a £30 voucher to spend in the Crail GS Pro Shop

Entry is free and there is no requirement to sign up in advance - Just start playing from Monday 6th July

Scores are submitted and accepted only through Mobile Score Input

*The Mobile Score input will be used on our return to competitive golf so the Mid-Summer Social League is a great way to practice using it*

 Rules:

  • Players can take part in either or both leagues
  • The Leagues will run for 3 consecutive weeks:

Week 1 – Monday 6th July – Sunday 12th July

Week 2 – Monday 13th July – Sunday 19th July

Week 3 – Monday 20th July – Sunday 26th July

  • Book your own tee time and play with your own playing partner(s)
  • Tee Markers may not be out when you play so players are asked to play from the appropriate ‘Teeing Area’
  • Gents / Junior Boys playing from White Teeing Area on Balcomie & Yellow Teeing Area on Craighead
  • Ladies / Junior Girls playing from Red Teeing Area on Balcomie & Craighead
  • You can attempt a score on more than one occasion for each League during a week but are only allowed to submit one score for each League per week.
  • The League Winners will be the players with the best aggregate 2 scores during the 3 weeks of play

 

  • This competition is Non-Qualifying so scores will not count for handicap purposes
  • Please adhere to the temporary conditions of play applicable when you play

Submitting Scores:

The Mid-Summer Social League will also be a trial of the new Mobile Score Input which will be the main method of returning scores once qualifying competitions resume so now is a great opportunity to practice and test this method.

During your round mark own score on scorecard; keep your markers score; sign your own card; print name of marker on card. Retain card as a paper copy, and record via Mobile Score Input

At the end of your round access ClubV1 Member App on your phone or tablet device or access via Member Login on Crail Golfing Society Website via the internet:

  • Click Today’s Golf
  • Select the appropriate league week and course
  • Input your selected score for the week
  • All scores to be submitted by midnight on the Sunday at end of each week
