The story so far

In 2021 as a result of the Get into Golf campaign we successfully introduced 75 women into golf, 21 of these women continued on our development pathway and joined our introductory programme as either a beginner or a returner where they had the benefit of group lessons, use of practice facilities, loan of clubs, use of our short course all supported by a buddy system. In Jan 2022 we launched a Restricted development ticket  - please contact the Membership secretary for more information. A number of women have progressed to full membership and are now active members of the Ladies section.

Here are some quotes from ladies that attended

“ladies, this initiative is fabulous. I have been wanting to get back to golf since we moved here 4 years ago but didn’t have a vehicle as I wasn’t good enough to join a club. Having the help, support and hopefully building a network of new golf buddies to play with is fabulous. Thank you so much”

“The last few weeks on the returners to golf package has been really brilliant and has made it easy and a real delight returning to golf after many years. The volunteers make it a fun and happy experience - Thank you all very much for your time and commitment”.

“A big thank you ladies, I have wanted to give it a go and this event came along at the right time. It has been lovely meeting you all and all the ladies taking part. GIG has allowed me to access lessons, fun activities & lose any fears I had about not being good enough to step on a golf course”
