Crail to the Clubhouse
The clubhouse is approximately two miles north-east of Crail at Fife Ness, the most easterly point in Fife. The road from the centre of Crail to the clubhouse joins the A917 at a roundabout outside the Golf Hotel.
The initial few hundred yards takes you along Marketgate, with old houses set well back from the road on either side. The road then narrows and dips down past Denburn Wood on the left. You are now on Balcomie Road. The road rises past Roome Bay Avenue on the right and after passing Balcomie Links Hotel on the left you come to the town boundary.
You are now on a long, straight section of road, with farmland on the left and a disused airfield on the right. After passing the tall building of Balcomie Farmhouse on the left, the road becomes single track with passing places, and wends it way, past Craighead Links on the right and Balcomie links on the left, to the clubhouse. Take care on this last section; look out for oncoming traffic and use the passing places when necessary.
