Working on Your Game
Has Never Been so Relaxing

Combine practice with sea views. Take a moment to soak it in as you transition from your long game to your short game. Developing your game on our driving range, short-game area or putting greens is often just as gratifying as playing on either of the two courses. The quality of turf, variety of terrain, and an abundance of space makes improving your game at Crail time well spent.

Once the Building Warrant is approved the next stage is to get the tender packs finalised and issue to potential contactors. This should be completed by the end of March. The architect is currently working on the content of the tender packs which include specifications provided by Rangemaster and Range Servant for the ball dispensing equipment and Golf Simulators Ltd for the indoor swing studio equipment.

Contractors will be invited to submit their bids with tender returns expected by the end of May beginning of June. Once the preferred contractor has been appointed it is anticipated that the works will commence on site from early October.

Short Game Practice

A top-class addition to the practice facilities at the club, opened in 2018. Plenty of space, multiple revetted bunkers and a large contoured green makes this a perfect spot for every element of your short game. From the driving range, carefully make your way down the path in front of the irrigation tanks.

Crail Practice Putting 1038

Putting

Two putting greens perfect for a dedicated session or a quick warm up prior to a round. The first is just across the road from the first tee of Craighead next to the driving range. The second green is just to the side of the clubhouse across from the first tee of Balcomie. Like all good putting greens they can also be quite the focal point of conversation.

Crail Practice Range 1037

Driving Range

Located at the front of the property with its own car park area, a 9 bay driving range is conveniently situated 150 yards from the first tees of both courses. Ball tokens can be purchased from the Pro Shop; the ball dispenser is located outside on the front side of the shop.

The Driving Range is closed every Tuesday from 10:30am for maintenance and in order to coach the junior section.
