Crail Golfing Society is prestige without pretence. Membership of the Society is more than just unlimited golf on two storied links courses, the numerous variety of competitions, or the access to a relaxed private clubhouse with its stunning coastal views. We are a uniquely enjoyable Scottish golf club with centuries of tradition and a commitment to the future.

Membership Benefits

Unlimited access for year round play on both Balcomie Links and Craighead Links.
Entry into club competitions.
Maintenance of handicap for all home members.
24 member guest tickets on each course per year (15 summer, 9 winter) at the member guest rate of £20.00.
The ability to book tee times up to one week in advance.
Access to members' priority tee times.
Introduction of visitors to the clubhouse.
Voting rights in the affairs of the Society.
Members' guest fees at Scotscraig Golf Club, Ladybank Golf Club, Lundin Golf Club, Real Club de Golf Tenerife, Real Club Sevilla
Half price green fees at DunblaneGolf Club, Alyth Golf Club and Kilmarnock Barassie.
Reciprocal golf on the 3 courses at Blairgowrie £40.00 for a member to play per round Monday to Friday. (Guests £70.00)
Courtesy golf at Barwon Head Golf Club in Australia and Golf De Saint-Cloud in France.
10% members' discount on food and beverage in the Clubhouse and 10% discount on Crail crested clothing in the Pro Shop.

Fees

Available to those 30 years of age who are residents of the United Kingdom. An entry fee of £900.00 is applicable in Year 1 and can be paid in a lump sum or in 3 annual instalments of £300.00. This is in addition to the annual subscription.

Annual Subscription 2024 - £600.00

A Scottish Golf Levy of £14.50 and a Fife Golf Association Levy of £2.00 is also required.

Thistle Memberships

In the 1880’s as golf became more popular amongst the broader population, ‘Thistle’ clubs started to be formed, including one at Crail. Young golfers, keen for competition amongst their peer group. That spirit of development continues today with young Members enjoying the same benefits of Full Society Membership at an affordable cost.

Our richly diverse overseas membership is spread across 23 countries and over 35 states in the USA. We enjoy the added flavour, style and good humour this brings to club life. Clubhouse Membership

The Balcomie Clubhouse, with it's stunning sea views is a special place to spend time with family and friends. The restaurant, lounge and bar are open year-round to Clubhouse Members and their guests. A relaxed place to eat out, entertain or attend the array of events that the club puts on throughout the year.

Junior Membership

Games to be played and lifelong friendships made. The first junior medal at Crail was played back in 1903. The development of young golfers is a deeply embedded in our club culture. We make sure that cost is not a barrier, and provide a safe, relaxed and fun place to learn and play the game.
